Hello again It's been too long since we last met How have you been? How is your heart, where is your head? I've got some things You need to hear, I need to say But my words Just get in the way I know it's hard, but I can't stand to see you like this So I'm just gonna spit it out, please don't fight this How can you believe in nothing? How can you believe in nothing? It's not a question I really like to ask And I don't care if it makes you mad Did you really think that I'd let you slip on by Without asking you where you think you go when you die? It's a simple question, but it means everything So think carefully before you answer please How can you believe in nothing? How can you believe that there's nothing left in this life that's worth searching for? Can't you tell the universe gives it away? Why do you believe in nothing? You could be living in reality Let's break this open for dissection How can you think that everything you see is just the result of selection Things might come naturally and factually but that doesn't mean That there's not a curtain that's concealing Who's behind the scenes And I'm certain One and one makes two Red, yellow, and blue It's primary, try very hard To think, feel, force, and fight your way out away from God But I don't think you'll get very far Because of the words of the ocean, forest, mountains, sun, and the stars Shout it out
2.
I get so nervous when I'm on my own and then I get a little paranoid, and I'm alone again I close the curtains like a blanket for my brain And turn on all the lights so I can see everything How am I supposed to handle the West Coast When I think every shadow is a ghost How am I gonna live on my own When I'm so scared of the unknown Look in My eyes, don't turn away I never fail, I never change So tell Me all your fears and desires And I will love you Don't be afraid, I know you're tired Just close your eyes, you'll be alright You can rest in My arms, I'll carry you higher And I will love you with a Heart of Fire It sucks that when the sun drops, so does my stomach I make sure all the doors are locked, Oh, I've had enough of it Everything is fine, it's all just in your mind How could I be so stupid? How could I have been so blind? How am I supposed to sleep when I'm this close To knocking out the television cuz I think it's a ghost How am I gonna live on my own When I'm so scared of everything I own Heart of fire
3.
Tell me what it feels like To live life like you're on your own And go to sleep every night Wondering if this is really your home And if you're really alright Why are you still looking for more? And you might not think that I am right or polite But I can tell you what you're looking for Come on, come on Don't you wanna know, wanna know The Meaning of Life You can't, you won't find it in your heart You've gotta look up and out to see who you really are Do you believe in God? Or do you just believe in yourself? 'Cuz one will make you honest And the other will just lead you to Hell Who do you think that you can trust? Your fragile heart or the One who made it to beat Who do you think can make you sing? Your empty lungs or the One who made you to breathe Tell me what it feels like Are you being honest? Tell me what it feels like Tell me what it feels like Cuz your life is passing by and you don't even know why you even try Because if you're honest, you don't want this It's just a shell of reality, and just a hell of what's meant to be This complexity vexes and hexes me Just like alchemy, you take a bunch of worthless things hoping for gold But it's not chemistry The pieces need to fit, and you just need to admit That the life that you aspire to does not create a fire in you 'Cuz to desire is to seek, and to seek is to find And to find is to live, and to live is to die And to die is to change, and to change is to grow And to grow is to think, and to think is to know And to know is to feel, and to feel is to do And to do is to love, and to love is the Truth And the Truth is to guide, and to guide is to speak And to speak is to believe, and to believe is to see, yeah

Synesthesia 04:42
Tell me I'm bright to You Tell me my sight is true I've never been a colorful son Just a dark grey hue I'd rather not exist than not be filled with light You are the dawn that fills the sky Break me down, and build me up again I wanna be a whole man for You And I know that I haven't got the right Fix my heart and make it new Tell me I'm growing strong Tell me my strength is gone I've always heard every hum and noise When Your love is a song I'd rather die alone than not be near to You You are my Life and my Truth And when I'm tired and ready to let go And when my arms and legs are sore And when my heart is ready to explode You remind me that I'm almost home Tell me I'm bright to You Tell me my sight is true I've never been a colorful son But You make me one for You

Be A Man 04:01
You'll never be a man if you don't try You'll break her heart, and she won't know why And if your love is just a lie Then why can't you say good-bye? If all is fair in love and war Why are your words a sharpened sword And if this life is to live and nothing more Have you found what you're looking for? And if your hands can hold the weight And if your heart can give and take And if your eyes can see her pain Then be a man and set it straight And you say this is the consequence of your father's lack of faithfulness Or maybe it was your mother's heart, always giving you what you want But you can never really change until you hate who you have been And be a man, because that's all you are in the end You'll never be a man if you don't try I broke her heart, and I don't know why
